Its hard to sign up a rabbit for a cross country race. I think big meet victories are T&FN's first criteria for year end rankings |

Just out of curiosity what was the purpose? The only way I could see rabbits having any place in cross coutry would be if a team thought that it would be to their advantage to have a quick early pace and so sent out one or two of their slower runners to run the first mile or so really hard and then drop out. As for race designated rabbits that makes about as much sense as Gabe Jennings trying to explain the theory of relativity after recieving a severe head injury. Wait.... that might actually make him less confusing. _________________ Time is the fire in which we burn |

I've never seen rabbits in a XC team setting, just like I can't think of ever seeing rabbits in a T&F team setting... Think open meets, with semi-pro lead runners who get bored chasing a bike all the time.

Just got my T&FN today and noticed that the LSU track has a full straightaway in the midlle for sprints and hurdles. Where were the long throws held?? How do the rest of you like that setup?? Seems great for the runners and jumpers. How old is their track?? I don't remember the track being like that in 1985 at the Olympic Festival.
