whenever I run I end up thinking of problems I have or thing i have to do. How do you gues clear you mind while running? I dunno... maybe it because ive been running the same damn trial almost everyday for the past year but my mind usually wonders around and i get depressed while running. Yeah music helps somewhat but not enough

Unless you are running a very intense workout I think it is normal for your mind to wander some. I try to think about running related topics when I run and try hard to avoid thinking about work or problems. Running is the time to destress from all that. If you can change your route to a scenic route that can help some.

This doesn't help you, but I have the exact opposite... One of the reasons I enjoy running is that I forget about my problems. When I'm running I think about running Smile

Like Micah said, changing your route is good. And the more scenic the better. I don't know about you, but sometimes when I'm in a nice trail I totally forget about everything and feel like I could run forever.

Ditto on the scenic and varied routes. Running with someone you get along well with is also good. If you have a beach nearby, running by and checking out all the attractive folk can be a nice distraction, although the tendency is to speed up too much in an attempt to show off. Wink

I'm past the point of showing off on the beach. I slow down so the gawking is easier. Smile

I was wondering who would be the first to fill in that unspoken thought. Wink
