I will never, ever again make any comment on or reference to performance enhancing drug use in track & field. Not ever.
These forums are for fans of the sport. No true fan of the sport would make the sort of cheap, damaging allegations which fly any time someone performs above expectations.
There is no defence to "I don't believe these times, they must be cheating", or my personal favourite, "I've never heard of them, must be doped". It sickens me.
The constant sniping and insinuation damages and debases the sport. I will no linger participate in damaging the sport I love. If others insist on denigrating athletes and athletics, it will be without me.
Justin
PS There's a season of Grand Prix athletics occuring, I hear. Anyone want to talk about it? |

Sorry to hear you feel that way, Justin. I hope I haven't offended you too terribly with anything I've said?
Dan
p.s. Some of the GL/Grand Prix chit-chat has been spread among the other forums, especially the Sprint and Fantasy T&F ones. |

I've been thinking about this awhile since Justin started this post. I am going to take the "Justin Pledge" myself. Most of my posts on drugs have been informational, but it all ends up being speculation, anyway. This website has always been civil, especially compared to some of the others I have visited, but on a topic like this things can get out of hand quickly, even when you think you are exercising some self-restraint. I think what sent me over the edge on this finally, was the Kelly Holmes outburst and the Kim Collins fiasco on the albuterol (asthma inhaler medication) charge, since dismissed.
