The Nike Farm Team in Palo Alto has been talked about quite a bit lately. But a couple of years ago when the whole lets try to produce better post-colligans movement went into affect I thought there were supposed to be 4 or more of these training sites. I can't remeber if these were also Nike oriented or if they were being run by the USATF or some other body. Does anyone remeber hearing or seeing anything along those lines and if so what happened to the other training groups? _________________ Time is the fire in which we burn |

I think they were independent but tied together and possibly backed by USATF. Was Hanson's (sp?) one of those original teams, or did they start up separately? I know there was another one back east, but I haven't heard anything about it in ages and can't remember the name...

I thought they were originally going to be extensions of Nike's "regional" teams ... Am I off on that assumption ???
I do think that it is a good idea ... But again we come back to who wold coach them all ??? |
