My daughter is an avid cross country runner and
for educational purposed has been asked to "Research" what the rules and regs of a "Steeple chase" are. Also what events are included in a steeple chase track event. I have
researched the internet to death for hours, only
to find "Horse race steeple chase events.
Can anyone give me a reference site to find out
whats involved in a Human Steeple Chase, especially whats' involved...thanx

A steeplechase is a single event, generally 3000 meters (junior races and some women's races may be 1500m or 2k). It is basically a distance hurdle event, with four solid barriers and a water jump barrier per lap. Quite a grueling event.
