Xavier University is looking for male distance runners for the fall 2010 cross country season who can be competitive immediately and continue XU's winning tradition. The Gold Rush has won four consecutive Gulf Coast Athletic Conference championships (2006 through 2009), and Xavier is one of 12 schools — one of two from the South — to qualify its men's and women's teams for the NAIA Cross Country National Championships in 2008 and 2009.

Xavier is a top-tier university in U.S. News & World Report’s "America’s Best Colleges 2010" edition. And Xavier was named by The Princeton Review in its 2010 edition as one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education.

Prospects should fill out Xavier's online recruiting questionnaire — http://www.xula.edu/athletics/forms/sports_questionnaire.htm — and include details on best competitive times and distances.
