Mostly marketing speak (hype/cliches), but some interesting info. I like where they refer to themselves as humble halfway down... Is there a less humble brand out there?

just wondering but wat brand of shoe does everyone prefer, i like nike to train in but i prefer asics spikes

I'm loyal to Nike, but I've had pretty good luck with Brooks, too. I've dabbled in most of the other brands but haven't found anything I liked.

I like Mizunos, Nike, and ASICS to run most of my mileage in. For racing I like Nikes especially the white Nike Zoom Milers (the ones with spikes). For casual, I just like the low, sporty-like Pumas (I have a pair of Ferraris right now).

I have a pair of Gel-Kinsei 2, and a pair of Nike Air Pegasus. I hate the Nike Shox. I had a pair in 8th grade because they were in "style". They all seem childish now.

I am a very neutral runner so as long as the shoes are not too built up and contain little stability I am good with them. I vary a bit because I also wear test for Nike so often its whatever they give me. For a while I did not like the majority of the Nike trainers but the newer ones have been pretty good. My most recent shoes have been

just finished up
Nike Victory
Brooks T4's

Currently running in the following
Puma Roadracer II
Adidas Adizero Tempo
Adidas Adizero RC

I have been very pleased with the non nonsense stuff in the Adizero line but not happy with most of their other shoes. The puma shoes have been pretty good as well.

Back to the new UA stuff as far as humble - "You must protect this house!" seems a little over the top to me, but they are trying to sell to football players there, they should be humble about running and see what they can do but we shall see - the one that intrigues me more is the Newton shoes... a bit high on the price scale but interesting again no nonsense comments on it and made for runners by runners I wonder if its more than just a tag line...

There's a lot to be said for picking through the rubbish with any company... They all have a model or two that's more fashion than function.

We have a few people in my Club (Team Red Lizard) that are signed up with Under Armour. One woman says the shoes are not giving her any hotspots like some other brands did. No specifics, though. She ran with them at AZ Rock and Roll. Only one member is anywhere close to Elite. They are getting about $500 in clothing and shoes, I think.
My own personal preference is New Balance. I love the 825's for racing and the 1085's for training. They were only available through NB Express. Picked up a ton of clothing and shoes the last two months through Joes New Balance Outlet. I've got 8 pairs of shoes in reserve! Rolling Eyes

Hot spots are an issue with me about half the time in a new pair of shoes... Doing away with those would be nice, for sure.

My favorite shoes are Mizunos and Adidas. They are really comfortable and I have felt a lot better after my runs since I have switched. I don't like to train in Nike shoes but I think there racing flats are pretty good.

I just got the new Nike LunaRacers crazy light - very good shoe for me - I love the new technology fly wire. the seamless sock-like upper is very comfortable but its a bare bones shoe so if you need any sort of support its not for the masses. For me though it works out great
