I have no idea, my mom just notified me this morning. I'll find out when her fried's family comes over.
Today I ran 15 minutes in the morning at 6:00 mile pace. I felt exhausted at the end. It's really weird because I could go on for 2 hours at that pace. I think energy clearly influences performance, in fact it does influence performance. _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8

It's just a coincidental special number. I don't understand what you mean but I'm assuming that you're telling me to think straightforward? If the best way to set a record is by running even splits then a 3:39 mile needs splits of 54.25. Although the runner can't make them like that, it will be 54-55-55-55. I like a 3:39 because it just looks better. It's in the 30 second range and that would start a new era as the sub four has. It doesn't mean that Hicham wasn't good enough at the tactical part, he just didn't attempt it again. Just like with running itself, the more you do it, the better you get. _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8

I haven't joined yet, and I won't be joining anymore because those people (that told us about the club) turned out to be idiots. So I won't have contact with them anymore. Why do you need to indirectly deny my potential. I don't deny yours. You want to see my results on the internet? I'll just drive 20 miles right now and join a race to have my times put on the internet. I probably won't join track this year AGAIN because we've already blown off 25g's moving here. There is a way if I start working and buy a car and then drive, but come on, will I really do that for 1 single race? My friend's 5K time from Nike Town got posted on the internet. I'm sorry, but other people have the money and time. As for my parents, they don't care about my running. It's not like they don't approve it, it's just they they don't care at all because if they cared they would at least looked for a club or something. You said you've been to those 8 hour track meets, etc. How were you able to join them? We're you sponsored? Did your parents drive you or what? My parents still need jobs.
Assume anything you want. I have my own personal results and training. Do you think my times have been supervised like yours? Nah, because I couldn't get anyone to. I can't ask the school to turn on that digital timer on the track so I can make a video either. All of those times have been timed by myself, and I've measured the distances via google earth. Some ignorant folks said, "Well google earth isn't exact." I've ran my 5K, 10K, and marathon times in the mountains/forest. I've ran the other distances on concrete. And I know that I was accurate because my times on the track in school are similar. So basically it's like running a 3:50 mile without supervision or spectators. Heck, you can break the world record too without anyone knowing or witnessing it. Do you understand what I mean now?
I have a trick up my sleeve anyways. Not having my times supervised is a good thing because if I run a 3:56 mile in gym class with no records or history then everybody will be amazed. It's like coming out of nowhere so people can see that it CAN be done, and to stop seeing as only athletes with publicity/recognition being able to do it. I train hard everyday alone and as a result I made enough gains to run that fast. I don't know what's so hard to believe about that. Vince Papale as a 30 year old bartender made it to the NFL. People look at your results not publicity. It sounds like I'm being stingy here towards you but I'm not. Just writing with emotion. _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8

I wasnt sponsered or anything. the school provided buses to take the track team to the meets. im not denying your times or how hard you train, but if you are really running a sub 4 mile or close to it as a 16 year old then someone would notice and you would be doing something to get noiticed. i just recently did a report on jesse owens. he was born as poor as you could possibly be, but when chareles riley(owen's high school track coach) saw him run, he did everything he possibly could to help jesse. im not saying the track coach at you school is going to do that but if your as fast as you say you are then the coach at your school would do everything he could to at least make it possible to join the team. This year for example there is a sophmore girl who runs indoor track AND plays basketball but she likes basketball better so she plays that in the winter, but she is so fast the track coach allows her to never come to prac but yet still be on the team and run in every meet. |

Was Riley white? That was a long time ago-during segregation and Jim Crow. I did get noticed but not with a sub four. What's in it for them? The coach is my gym or P.E. Teacher not the actual track coach. Maybe I should just tell him I run close to sub four. Still, what's in it for them? _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8

yes riley was white. wats in it for your track coach is a runner for their team. if your as good as you say you are, the track coach would have looked for you and asked you to join. last year there was a freshman who didnt want to run track but ran a 12.0 100 and the track coach hounded him until he joined track. he helped our 4 by 1 win 3rd place at the counties meet and now this year hes going to help our 4 by 1 go to states |

Well I don't think that helps the coach earn money as a real sponsor like Nike would, but the recognition and prestige is worth it. I don't know how that coach knew that kid ran a fast 100 if he wasn't on the track team. _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8

Well soccer is another extracurricular activity. I haven't been able to do any since my freshman year and my gym teacher is not the track coach . I talked to my parents about joining a running club, and they told me if I wanted to live on the street. They're way beyond severe. No cell phone, no parties, nothing. Surprisingly enough, I am a straight A student and also got tons of complimental phone calls from my teachers. You know what, from most of my acquaintances, I know that their parents helped them in some way or another such as getting their son on a football team, etc. My parents simply do not care about sports at all but they do know how to brag to others that I run so much. _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8
