Hello
I am brand new to the site. I've read a lot of posts and everyone is very nice. Here is my question:
I am about 180 pounds and 5'5... yes, I know i am "fluffy". I lift weights and I run about 10 to 15 miles a week. My fastest mile is 8:49. I wanted to know what workout seems to burn the most weight off one's body was. Thanks!

No one workout will provide a magic formula. The simple answer is to run more. Build up slowly (a couple miles more per week) and do as much as you can handle. Don't worry too much about pace until you can at least handle 20 miles per week comfortably, then you can start thinking about speeding up. The faster you go, the harder your metabolism works.

Dan

I do agree with Dan.
If you want to run to decrease the size of your pants, you must run more.
There is one situation when running more could be ill advised: short sprints 100 and 200 meters.
If you want to improve your mile time, you must run more.
Yes these are a speed-over-distance fora; however, even when the stress is put on speed, you will still need to run certain distance every week: 20 miles a week seems like a proper distance (weekly) to improve your mile time and get feeter.

The metabolism does work harder, but if you're working out aerobically then you're also using fat for energy as opposed to carbohydrates from faster running.

Well there are number of tips which have proved, to be useful in weight loss. I think the main focus should be, on exercise and diet. So diet should, include light foods which are free from fats and get exercise like running, swimming and cycling for fitness.

Cardio workout and other physical workout programs are quite helpful in losing weight; but you have to maintain a better diet program along with exercises. Diet that includes less calorie; cholesterol; vegan diet and others like fruits and vegetables.
