My ‘virtual’ athletes (hey Dan; they should make a game based on the Fantasy Track and Field League) who will perform in Berlin (hopefully):
100 m:
1. Asafa Powell
2. Olusoji A. Fasuba
[It will be interesting how Smoots will react to being in the same race with Powell]
(nota bene: 110 m H are extremely strong)
400 m:
1. Gary Kikaya (Will he beat Wariner only once in the Final in China in 2008? -- The champion is the one who wins that very singe race.)
1500 m:
1. Suleiman Kipses Simotwo
Long Jump:
1. Irving Saladino
100 m:
1. Me’Lisa Barber
This list is a little short; therefore, I do hope that as more athletes enter the competition, at least a couple more athletes from my virtual team will participate. So far, the organizers have shown only 6-six athletes per event (To be honest, I do not know how many lanes does the track in Berlin have; however, even with six lanes, it is possible to stage Race A and Race B or even Race C: nota bene: the numbers of athletes participating in men’s and women’s 1500 m competition in Reiti were ridiculous). _________________ http://vincovitanj.tripod.com/Do_not_be_a_victim1/index.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u43o595CARQ

Results are in:
http://run-down.com/fantasy/index.php?go=full_results
A top-10 finish for me wasn't quite meant to be...
Somewhat of a down week to finish on, with only a few 1000+ scores and none over 1300.
The top scoring athletes look fairly evenly distrributed across events for the season:
http://run-down.com/fantasy/index.php?go=top_athletes
Nothing particularly unusual jumps out when sorting the list by score/cost ratio, either. I suppose that indicates the events were pretty equivalent in terms of selection value.

Only 8 of my 17 athletes scored points this season. Another miserable failure. But I already have my strategy for next year and it is a garuanteed winner.

Let me guess, next year you're only picking Chinese athletes?
