Even though I attended OSU in the Fall of 1967. I had no idea what a great job Slats Gill had done in hiring those replacements. And it wasn't far after that, that Valenti stepped down and Ralph Miller was hired as the basketball coach.
1967 was the year of the Giant Killers, including a 3-0 win over USC. Andros was known as the Great Pumpkin. ( OSU's colors are orange and black for those not familiar)
