hi everyone! i found this website and was really excited. i just recently decided to go into running for my track tream. im a freshman in highschool. latley iv been staying after at my school to run the indoor track because its snowing almost constantly here. what types of things should i be doing. i havent been sure so all i do is strech and run. im really good at pacing myself because iv been on my schools cross country team for about 3 years. i guess im just asking for some help with how to run on an everyday basis, not for meets or practice, just to work on getting faster and increasing my stamina. please help thanks!

Two questions:
1) What event(s) are you training for and what are your current abilities and goals?
2) Aren't you in season by now??? If so, hasn't a coach given you stuff to work on?

To elaborate on Dan's comments, the best place for you to get advice right now is your coach. We will give you support and best wishes but talk to your coach about the training techniques and programs for the specific event that you are going to run.
