There is a real good interview with Allen Johnson on the Runners World website. Go to it today because they change things fairly often. I especially liked what he said about his practice sessions. _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

Good article, thanks. If you go to the date-specified link, it should remain good well beyond today.
I've always admired Johnson's approach to goal setting and general preparation.

Nice article ... Johnson has always been fairly level headed ... Which I think adds to his longevity ... I'm looking forward to the hurdles this season as I think there will be some awesome times ... He and Liu were very consistent last year ... And with Doucoure and Garcia healthy and in the mix I think something great can happen ... _________________ Conway

If all 4 are on top of their game, that'll be an awfully tough event to call. And if Wade and Trammell are competing and 100%, make that 6-deep.

May end up being as deep or deeper than the mens 100 was last year ... Could be the event of the season ... _________________ Conway

Certatinly could be.. lots of events have some interesting potential as also discussed in the Fantasy League discussion on which events to carry this season _________________ The long run is what puts the tiger in the cat. |

Yes, good article. Where I would disagree is in his assessment of age. I found a huge difference in my own athletic career between 35 and 39. I became much more brittle as far as flexibility. I think he will have a problem maintaining his turnover as he approaches 40 and the next Olympiad. _________________ Paul

I agree with that ... Not sure we will see too many people being "snappy" as they approach 40 ... _________________ Conway

Yeah, but who wants to admit that while still competing with the youngsters? Gotta keep whatever mental edge you can!
