I just couldn't resist. When I saw one topic for Russian mail order brides and another for sending flowers to the Ukraine I had to delete them.

But maybe I was too hasty....Dan doesn't have a wife.... Wink

There was one this weekend for Russian prostitutes that I deleted ... I wonder if they were from the same person ??? I just figured it was not something I would want my kids to come upon so deleted it ... If I wouldn't want my kids to see it then I figure it is not in good taste ...

I'm not sure what the deal is with the Russian forum spam, but it's going on for a while now and always hits my AbleDesign support forum at almost exactly the same time. I haven't bothered tracking down IP or visitation patterns to see if it's a real person or some automated posting spammer, but it hasn't gotten bad enough yet to be anything more than a minor annoyance.

The lengths some people will go to ... to accomplish nothing whatsoever. Rolling Eyes

There was a very interesting series of articles in the Atlanta newspaper recently about the Russian mail order bride industry. I had no idea it was as big as it is. The articles contrasted the experiences of two guys from Atlanta that went to Russia and brought brides home. One worked out great but the other one was a case of a man going over there to get a woman to turn into his house keeper and sex slave. She decided that was not what she wanted and it turned into a nightmare of stalking and violence before he was killed in a shoot out with a local deputy. She met another guy and they married and are living happily ever after.

One reason those southern guys were going to Russia to get a bride is so they can get one who isn't a cousin! Laughing

hmm I need to find out but I think a frind of mine's cousin did this... I know he has a wife from over there - but I am not sure that it was mail order or not. If so it worked out well for him...
