Good call! I just set it as my background wallpaper, and it looks quite, er, "nice."

That whole Taiwan earthquake web page was quite interesting. I sent it to a few people and they enjoyed it too.

I think that track is about due to be resurfaced.
Of coarse judging from the other pictures it looks like it's not the only thing that could use some work. _________________ Time is the fire in which we burn |

ACtually isn't that track in use ??? Isn't that where they run the Chinese Nationals annually ??? I've seen sprint times coming out of there that look like it ...

Maybe that's their way of removing the evidence, a la Atlanta '96?

Only problem is, their incredible times were in full lap events. Unless they brought in an M.C. Escher understudy to construct that track, they'd have to go back uphill somewhere else...

Now they have turned in incredible straight away times as well ... Starting with a 10.79 for otheir female national record !!!!
And I haven't seen the other side of the track so Escher most certainly could have provided technical assistance !!

Oh yeah ... 19.79, 10.89, 10.90, 10.95 .... All within the boundaries of China !!! She's gotten her drawers blown off competing outside the country !!! Lu Xinei (or something close to it) !!!

It took a couple of days for people to remark on this photo. I thought maybe I was the only person to see it the first day. What was remarkable to me was that there was so little damage except along the narrow fault line in the track picture, a fact brought out in the original picture set. |
