Wow, you're planning on keeping Santa busy!
<<A new WR in the 100 meters for men>>
I'd give this one about 50/50 odds, maybe slightly better.
<<A new WR in the 110H for men>>
Pretty unlikely, given that sub 13.2 is so much rarer than it was a couple years ago, and there are only two guys capable of doing that consistently (how much more does Allan Johnson have?).
<<An American under 3:30 in the 1500>>
Drop that requirement down to 1400 and I'm pretty sure it will be done... Short of instant nationalization of some for'ners, I'd say that's about a one in a million chance.
<<The return to form of Rob Kennedy>>
I think we've seen his best days, although he'll probably remain at the forefront of American distance running for a couple more years. Someone has to keep the seat warm for Webb and Ritz while Goucher gets back to health.
<<Someone, anyone under 44.00 !!!>>
It has to happen. I'll leave it at that...
<<An American under 1:44>>
I'd be happy with a couple guys just going sub 1:46...
<<A non of West African decent sprinter under 10.00>>
See 1500m above.
<<Women under the 22.00 & 49.00 barriers again>>
Decent chance in the 200m, especially if Inger comes back strong and Marion gets her act together. I'd say the 400 is pretty likely, as Cathy Freeman should be coming back from her post-Olympics hiatus and Katherine Merry was on track for special stuff before falling ill. Who knows, maybe Perec will resurface and Breuer may not be done.
<<And a major meet (non championship) that has all of the events>>
Now you're really dreaming!!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
My Christmas wish is simply a good year of running with NO INJURIES for all of us.
Of course, an American in the top five of a major marathon would be nice too. |

Would that be an imported American Micah or a natural American ???
I forgot to add that I would like to see the same %age imporvemnt this year as last for Webb & Ritz !!! Would bode very well for American distance running ... |

A natural American would be nice but I'll take anything Kannouchi or Derouck can do. I hate to sound jingoistic (Dan gets extra trivia points if he knows the meaning to that word) but it would be nice to see a homegrown win Boston or New York again. Or even Peachtree...Bay to Breakers...Lilac Bloomsday... |

Aren't we all imported?
Jingoistic, hmm... I sort of remember once knowing the origin of the word, but I'm drawing a blank now.

Imports are fine with me. Particularly:
Guiness Stout, Murpheys Stout, Bass Ale, Fullers ESB, Harp...could this have any bearing on that weight issue? |

Well Micah I do believe your weight gain just might be linked to your dependance on foreigners ...
Took my kids to see Santa yesterday and he tells me:
Sub 12.90 may be in store but not by an American ..
But an American may get under 2:10.00 ..
Both 200s (men & women) will have new flag bearers ...
Breuer does something special ..
And 9.80 will get second to 9.75 ...
