And up until the present day, it is further continued...
My favorite sport(s) other than running is soccer and gymnastics. I've tried football before, but I get mowed over most of the time, not my type. _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8

What is your favorite video game sport (I do own the used Play Station 2)?
Are there any running and/or track--and--field old games made for PS2?
Mine is Football (Madden).
I do possess Madden'2006, but I like Madden'2005 more for two reasons:
-1) I used to play it with Mr. Lindquist back in Hohenfels;
-2) the old Jets team is composed up--to 40% of both offense and defense of persons capable of busing opposition like at present only Mr. Jerome Bettis could have: translation: nearly 40% of the team abused the dope -- this is why this particular Jets team is not on Madden 2006 or any newer version.
Jerome Bettis was great for two reasons:
-1) Pittsburg -- playing soccer with the rough--playing German and Polish kids: unusually strong legs*;
-2) planning -- he aimed at 3 seasons at the end of his life as a pro to excel or to make his upper body strong--and--big; he knew that if he does make it strong--and--big too soon, only good it would do for him is ... get him a set of knew artificial knees; his plan had a great chance of success, and it did indeed succeed!
*--during mountain climbers, back at Ft. Bening, I was ready to laugh at the younger men who could not do them. The only reason that I did not was that I could not take the hot--and--humid climate. It is a rule of thumb:
majority of Europeans have much stronger legs than the native Americans; on the other hand, the majority of native Americans possess stronger arms. _________________ http://vincovitanj.tripod.com/Do_not_be_a_victim1/index.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u43o595CARQ

I had a ps2, but running video games would look awkward . Running barely has any strategy involved to have as many controls as a team sport like Madden football . No time to play any games at call anymore, I'm in all IB classes and as crazy as this sounds, I'll be going to summer school every summer from now on to take extra courses. I just need to get into a solid university to prove my running performance then get out and go professional. When I get offered to move to Africa or some place, I would never hesitate to do so over my college degrees. Forget all of them doctors and lawers and engineers earning a salary much lower than a professional runner could earn. Runners make millions, and I'm not dreaming, by running circles around a silly track. That will put bread on the table, and that's what matters. Also seeing how the first half of this paragraph was about games, and now about later life...
Hicham is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador so athletes are still capable of earning money afterwards. That's not all, middle distance runners could go on to marathon running like Haile in order to extend the course of their running "salaries." I find it hilarious how runners from 3rd world countries like Somalia earn more than the U.S. President's salary. The important thing is to not be stupid and make all that money go down the drain as some of our silly pro football players do. Who was that guy who got arrested for dog fights? _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8

Now I think you're not actually serious on that one, but golf players make 50-100x the salary of pro runners. In one article, I read that Hicham's salary was somewhere around 5-7 million. Besides that, why do sprinters have the highest salary? It's ridiculous, put yourself in a distance runner's shoes, well from what I know, you're already a distance runner. But seriously now, you go there and only witness 9.69 seconds of glory and you personally know how gruelling distance running is. I think that as a spectator, you need to be born differently to see someone run a 10K meanwhile having your jaw dropped all the way as if you were at the dentist. _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8

Simple: it's about marketing. The athletes whom spectators pay to watch (and who move merchandise) are the ones that get paid.
