Does anyone remember the last time that US relay has made an unforced error?
I guess the fact that they all count on that one day IAAF will ask them to give the medals back and that they will have to appeal the IAAF's decision puts them all at ease.
I remember when the US men's 4 x 100 m team ended in the 2nd place and for the 1st time in 100 years was all smiles and happy in front of the camera like if they did not care...
...I guess that they did not care! Wink
I expect the US relays to win all ... 3 medals.
The Russians got so certain that the gold medals in the women's 4 x 400 m relays just belong to them that they ... lost in 2007. Some times, the East Europeans fall into a false belief that every other team wins just by running very fast, and only they know how to do proper hand--off's.
----
The Poles, on the other hand, who have been wining medals in the Euros, but in the worlds and Olympics have been always close got teased to the point on going "Crazy Ivan:" they think like this:"If we drop it that is A'O.K., but if by some accident, we will get it all the way around the track, we may ... just may get a medal." I expect the Polish men's 4 x 100 m relay to most likely drop it in the final, or, less likely, get a bronze medal.

Polish relay will score the bronze medal: men 4 x 100 m.
They must learn how to relax.
As of present they have 6 runners each running mid 10.30's or faster, and judging by slow and consistent progress, they will only get faster.

US will win in the men's 4 x 100 m as well as 4 x 400 m, but may be second in the women's 4 x 100 m (the Jamaican 200 m specialists are splendid) and second in the 4 x 400 m (the Russians have been cured of the undue pride during the World Championships'2007).
