Thanks Dan, that's some solid info. One question though: Can you usually tell whether you have medial or later/anterior by where the pain is coming from? Or is it more complicated than that? |

Yes, the source of the pain should be a very good indicator.
Although I haven't tested out the theory, the more intense partner resistance treatment for lateral/anterior should also work for the less severe medial shin splints, so if in doubt, that's a good place to start.
