You weren't undercover in the East Grandstands? Did you get drizzled on a bit?
The Chinese had a vaulter who did well, and their TJer came through toward the end.

We were under the covered area at State (I can never remember which direction the track is situated), which was good on the fairly drizzly first day. No rain that I can recall at Pre.

I have a hard time with that, too. HS State had one its best ever 2 day attendance records.

I can believe that. The stands looked to be not far off capacity, and finding any specific athlete out warming up was a bit of a challenge.
