Check out the Training Forum for the 5K training thread. I put my 2 cents worth in there as did a couple of others. Just remember, I am not a coach. I am a fat old man who hasn't seen a PR since the Reagan administration. _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

here's what you do:
Do the mileage your coach suggests. Nothing more or less.
But! You should focus on supplementary activities. In particular, add strength. Do "russian" sit-ups and "monsters" and other calisthenics you like me probably just hate but know you need. Start lifting 2-3 times a week as well. That'll make you more athletic altogether, making you faster.
thats my suggestion, any others? |
