Just read an article and not placing the link because all it said was...Deena in a telephone interview said, "I'll be trying to hang onto Jen Rhines this week (10000m U.S. Championships). Kastor has already qualified with a 31:09 and can still make the team if athletes finishing ahead of her don't hit qualifying mark.
I know she was injuried but how many U.S. women can finish ahead of her even if she have a slightly off day? |

Not very many thats for sure. I would guess Rudolph would do well given her debut at the distance this year... but I think she has stated she is running the 5000 _________________ The long run is what puts the tiger in the cat. |

I really hope with the 10000m being the first event of her scheduled double that Amy goes for and gets a spot on the 10000m team and misses the 5000m. Amy has the ability to make the team in both events but I feel one event would ensure she performs better at Worlds.
I would hate to see her running the 10000m at Worlds (where I think she has the ability to go 30:40) and start conserving for the 5000m if she falls off the 10000m pace instead of fightng til the end. |
