So, either you were aiming for the adjacent wall, or DG was a moving target?

I would never aim for an athlete...I don't think. But I was mad--DG was All-American material! |

Yeah, but I never seemed to have a year where I was running well enough to be an All American and a year we made nationals at the same time. It was either I was fast and we missed nationals or I wasn't fast enough and we made nationals.
And to correct you coach, I think you would never hit me with a clip board, but there we're a few others I'm not so sure about (I'm kidding of coarse) _________________ Time is the fire in which we burn |

Actually, my very first impressions of this story was that my already high opinion of coachd ratcheted up a few more notches when it was apparent that he had gotten his point across to someone as bullheaded as DG without having to hit him squarely between the eyes.

That could have been where he was aiming that clipboard.
I have a lot of respect for coachd from the simple fact that in my entire time in college he never gave up on me and he strangled me with his bare hands. Two things that in must have been tempting considering my up and down performance as an athlete and my unique (read: stuborn, outspoken, arrogant and intollerant) personality. Which lead to some interesting days at practice both between coachd and I. And to a much greater extent between my teammates and myself. _________________ Time is the fire in which we burn |
