3rd Annual Graham Beasley Memorial 5K Road Race
Sunday, August 27, 2000, 9:30 A.M., John Mlacak Centre, 2500 Campeau Drive, Kanata
In support of the Kanata Food Cupboard.

Dedication: This event is commemorated to Graham Beasley, loving husband and father, fiery competitor and advocate of fitness and well being. Graham's spirit and energy will be forever remembered. -From his many friends-

Members of Graham Beasley's family to be in attendance.

Course: A flat, fast 5 kilometre loop through the Beaverbrook community of Kanata.

Facilities: Limited shower and change facilities available in the arena section of the John Mlacak Centre, as well as washrooms in the lobby. Post race festivities in upstairs hall of the Centre.

Race Features:
- Each kilometre marked.
- Course to be re-measured in 2000.
- 3 water stations on the course.
- 1 K split times.
- Computerized results.

Awards/Age Categories:
Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 men and women overall, plus the top 3 men and women in the following age categories:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 plus
Note: overall winners not eligible for age group awards.

Other Services:
- Post race refreshments to all participants.
- T-shirts to all participants.
- Post race draw prize raffle.

Registration Fees:
Pre registered - until Tuesday, August 22 - $15 (family rate for 2 or more, $25)
Pre registered - Wednesday, August 23 to Saturday, August 26 - $20 (family rate for 2 or more, $35)
Race day - $25 (family rate for 2 or more, $45)

How to get there:
From Ottawa, take 417 to Kanata, and exit at Eagleson/March Road North.
At the end of ramp, proceed straight through traffic light onto Campeau
Drive and continue straight through the next light. Turn right from
Campeau Drive into John Mlacak Centre parking lot adjacent to Earl of March High School.

To Register:
Registration forms will be available at Motionware Source for Sports, Carlingwood or Hazeldean Mall; other area sports stores; and the Kanata Leisure Centre.
Mail completed registration form to Jane Armstrong, 21 Shaw Court, Kanata, Ontario K2L 2L9
Or drop off at the following locations:
Motionware Source for Sports, Carlingwood or Hazeldean Mall, and the Kanata Leisure Centre, 70 Aird Place (up until Friday, August 25)
Or register in person, on Saturday, August 26, 12:00 noon - 5:00 p.m., Motionware, Hazeldean Mall only
Race day registration - 8:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m., John Mlacak Centre

Race Kit Pick-up: Saturday, August 26, 12:00 noon - 5:00 p.m.,
Motionware, Hazeldean Mall only, or on race day, 8:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.

Race starts at 9:30 a.m. on the Parkway, the stretch of road located north of Earl of March High School.
