Wow,great story, and that is one impressive workout!! All those 2000's were run at about a 4:30 - 4:40 1500 pace!! Surprised Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

This is a lot to digest for a measely "Measuring Wheels" thread. This whole thread might have to moved to the coaches corner!!

...and I think all good coaches should automatically be given honorary Ph.D's in Psychology!! Their motivational techniques are usually first rate!!

My coach at Sports Palace, Jim Schmitz, would say only 7 words all workouts and warmups, but he could say them in 5000 different nuances!! "Pull Hard, Move Fast, Keep it Close" He could say the same thing 50 times in a workout, and it meant something different every time!!
Dan, when I play the Wide World of Sports video, you'll see what I'm talking about!!

A coach is mostly psychology ... At leasst the good ones ... To get individuals to constantly put theselves through pain and torture to achieve an end has got to be one of the toughest jobs there is ... I have great respect for great coaches ... And coaches in general as most are vastly underpaid fort what they do ...
