LOOKING GOOD GUYS Very Happy Very Happy

The recovery continues, I'm walking 2 minutes and running 8 for a total of 30 minutes so I almost feel like a runner again. Hang in there Dan, you know how we all hit plateaus from time to time. I wanted to race June 2 but work interferes so I'm looking at June 12 for a 5K.

Good luck everyone in your upcoming races and congrats to DG and Graeme. G.O. are you training for anything specific? Let us know when you race.

Conway...what are you doing? Razz

Just home from the Adidas Oregon Track Classic. My kid got Bouhami to sign her sweats. She's so proud Razz wearing pants with a world record holders signature and time on them. Brahim ran an 8:04 today, fastest ever in the US. As promised his splits were 2:41 at 1k and 5:18 at 2k. There's something to shoot for Graeme. Wink

LOL, I don't think I'll run it in under 6 minutes... I'm just gonna shot for sub 7:00 Smile

I wish there were more track meets around where I live... I can't even watch them on TV very often. Sad

It's always cool for a kid to meet a record holder. When I was in high school I meet Yobes Odeiki (sp) the first man to go under 27 minutes for 10,000m. I was so excited. Your daughter will probably remeber meeting Bouhami for a very long time. That's awsome for a kid to get an experience like that.

oops, that "guest" post was me Smile

I didn't run my race as fast as I was hoping, I did it in 7:18... but I wasn't really dissapointed since it's my first time and I hadn't even had a chance to practised it yet. I was surprised at how much it takes out of you after ever hurdle.

Nice run Graeme. That's not a bad effort for a first time. My daughter wants to try a steeplechase. I might do it too. She's a hurdler and 800 runner, so might be a good race for her. We think that the summer all-comer meets in Eugene offer the s/c so we will go down and try it. I'd love a crack at it myself.

g.o., you daughter would probably do quite well at sc if she does the 800 and hurdles.
I mainly run the 1500/3000 and I found that the sc is not so much cardiovascularily tiring as it is just hard on the legs. So coming from a faster race that requires more strength could help. But it depends on the distance of the sc race, of course.

And above all, it's loads of fun Smile

My dad took some pictures of me while I was running and a few of them are really good, I'm thinking that I might post them on the internet.
If anybody else has uploaded pics of themselves running, I'd love to see them.
