I can't decide if this is a running related topic, so Open Mic Night it is...

"Olympic horses B-samples come back positive"

How ridiculous, now they start injecting their horses. People never learn do they? About illegal performance-enhancing drugs, I think they actually don't help in performance at all. So many athletes have doped and they actually didn't make them unique. Sprinters for example-with so many that doped, we should be seeing 9.5s. I've even seen normal bodybuilders look more sculpted than those that take dope. What do you think?

I disagree strongly. History has proven that many of the "clean" athletes doped all along, just they were never caught. Who's to say that it's even possible to run sub-10 clean? We have no idea what the true baseline measurement is.

It means we have no way of knowing. A clean test result has been shown to mean nothing.

Well then I guess my dad may be right, drugs are advancing. Where there are rules, there's also cheating.

Do you have any information on how these horses performed? Only IF they were caught after.

I don't know anything beyond what's in the article.

It was Equestrian. They don't have horse racing in the Olympics, as far as I know. But given some of the wacky events that have been added, it wouldn't shock me...

Yeah, I'm not 100% sure what the exact type of competition was, just the competition involving horses is important Smile
