If that's the case, the next step should probably be to consult a podiatrist and get fitted for orthotics, unless the PT thinks the collapsed arch can be corrected through exercises.

Yep that's exactly what is happening now. New shoes should be coming my way pretty soon too. My spikes seem to have little arch. Question: Should I get new spikes too?

Few, if any, spikes will help you with structural corrections. When I first got orthotics, the podiatrist experimented with various tape jobs to provide similar support in the spikes, but it was mostly fruitless. Tore half the skin off my foot on one failed attempt...
