The American Ultrarunning Association has started an Ultrarunning Hall of Fame this year. The first two inductees are Ted Corbitt and Sandra Kiddy. I think most people are familiar with Corbitt and Kiddy was the most dominant female before Ann Trason came along. Kiddy's most impressive performance was probably her 6:09 for 50 miles at the age of 47. She was undefeated in major 100K competitions and she didn't get started until she was 42.

Additional inductees will come with one per year and the athete has to be retired for a period of 10 years or 60 years of age.

Think Trason will make it in? Very Happy Or will the Hall still be around 10 years after she finally retires...?

Yeah....Trason is a no brainer.

I think it will continue. Even though ultrarunning is a fringe element of the sport there has been enough interest to keep Ultrarunning magazine going for over 20 years and there is a constant diet of races year round. It may not get any bigger but I think it can sustain the current level.
