i am a 200m sprinter and have just spent four months off the track with a tibial stress fracture. my physio has said that i should spend the next 6 weeks running on grass starting with slow runs and building up to 60% runs and drills. Has anyone got any ideas for how long/how far I should run and for progression over the six weeks as i dont have a coach at the moment to advise me

I would start out with one mile or less, running every other day and adding on maybe half a mile every 2-3 runs. It won't seem like much, but it will help you reacclimate to running without much risk of reinjury. Fortunately, track season is still a long ways off, so you can focus on getting healthy now and worry about getting into shape later.
