Hey guys-
I strained my achilles tendon a couple weeks ago, and it is finally healed. Prior to that, I was training consistently for my Army PT test which is coming up the first week of May. I've taken about 2 weeks off, and I am afraid that I lost quite a bit during the process. What can I do over the next 1 1/2 weeks to help me peak for the 2 mile race? (I like to call it a race, because we are all pretty competitive against each other). I really want to beat the crap out of my friends on this one, and they've been running consistently while I have been injured. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks

It's very unlikely you lost any conditioning in 2 weeks off. Generally 2-3 weeks is safe. All you need to do is resume training as before, easing back in the first few days, just to chip away any rust and get your legs back under you.
