First track workout since last spring (only 2nd actual workout since early in the fall, with the first being a moderate hill loop last week), 4x200m:

35.2
33.7
31.5
31.2

I had planned on starting conservatively at 40 and just see how it felt... They all felt about the same effort (hard), so I'm hopeful that's a sign my legs are starting to remember how to run, yet again...

As long as possible! Smile I walked 200m in between, being in no real rush, enjoying the beautiful day, not wanting to over-stress my muscles first time back, etc. I was pretty taxed after the last one, but I felt like I recovered reasonably well prior to that. Of course, then I had my ~1.5 mile uphill cooldown run...

You betcha.

Didn't get to the 5K Saturday. But I have had two PAIN FREE two mile runs so far this week so I'm feeling good. Just staying the course with slow easy runs no more than every second day.

You get to a point where a pain free run is every bit as enjoyable as a good run... Neutral Way to keep the comeback under control.

I was not involved in that case but I know the agent you are refering to. An outstanding investigator and BTW a pretty decent runner too!

I haven't been on the track since that 2/25 workout, and most of my running has been absolute crap since then, but I'm finally starting to shake out of the doldrums. 23 miles over a 6 day stretch last week, and 17 miles the past 3 days at a much better pace and more continuous, with an 8 miler yesterday (matching my longest from last summer).
