Just finished spending a few days with the Daughter. She has not abandoned running. She is doing about 15 miles a week right now and is going to start training with some friends for 5Ks this spring and the Marine Corps Marathon this fall. The good news is that she is having fun again. _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

Excellent! As most coaches will tell you, there's always a strong fear that when an athlete leaves a team, they leave the sport permanently. Glad to see that's not the case here.

In the summer of '01 she got a tattoo of two wings on her ankle. She said they were the wings of Phidippides and represented her commitment to running her entire lifetime. I guess she was serious. She said leaving the college team was just a transition in her running life from team competition to running as an individual. So I say, "Cool." _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

That's good to hear that she isn't giving up. I wish her luck. Keep us updated MW. _________________ Time is the fire in which we burn |
