Can food additives, such as BHT and BHA have a negative effect on health. What about on exercise performance?

In general, my view of preservatives is not so favorable. I don't see why these would be any different. My opinion is, any food deemed requiring lots of unpronounceable preservatives isn't healthy enough to be a regular part of your diet in the first place.
