I forgot to post about this as I was caught in the whole Merritt-thing with his 200m & 400m exploits in the same weekend! Saying that, Pognon's 6.45 shouldn't be overlooked as only a handful of men have run as fast or faster than this time at sea-level.

The only question now, is whether or not he can carry this on throughout the whole indoor season and then we'll see if he can carry this on to the outdoor season.

I saw the race and it looked pretty solid ... I'm usually not too high on indoor marks unless the sprinter is a known finisher ... While Pognon has not fit that category in the past, this race looked strong and was not an explosive start kind of race but much more even ... This could be his year to break out ... I thought he was going to do that last year as he had a solid '03, but last year was no better than '03 ... Perhaps this will be a good year for him ...

____I saw pictures and he did look picture perfect, even by the end of the race; it seemed that even if, there were another 40 meters left, he would just keep on running at the same pace.
