Training Schedule Simple Solutions
Some runners trying to keep their endocrine system high (workout less than 50 minutes in a session)
run twice a day; other runners run every day or even every day of the week twice a day.
Many of them complain of fatigue! They say that in the 7—day schedule, they cannot take a day of!
Answer: Think outside the box of 7—day week! Make a 10—day, 14--day, or 21—day schedule! And take one day off from this very schedule!

Lots of schedules supply one rest day every 2 or 3 or 4 weeks or whatever.

I have just started doubling up my training to two sessions in one day as I am entering a triathlon in July and there is just not enough days in the week to get everything done!

Taking a day off or two per week is essential for an ultra runner. The amount of time on your feet and running between 50-80 miles per week dictates your body to rest. I subscribe to this article about ultra running training http://www.hawaiianshirtray.com/training-exercise/50-mile-training-program/ I has me resting on Monday's and Fridays.

I hope this helps,
