Oh, that's a given! In all fairness, though, the USATF site has improved tremendously over the past year on an apparent shoe string budget. A sign of how bad it used to be is how far it still has to go...

Definitely .. Ther site is one of the worst in teh world .. Many many federations have much nicer sites .. It is almost embarrassing .. Shoe string budget or not, they should be able to find a decent WEbmaster to at least redesign the site if not opperate it !!! |

How about the babe, Deena Drossin today? 1:10:08!!!! and beat an international field at the rock-n-roll half. Girl has got it going on.
Jenny Crain...not bad to look at. She did some training last year or the year before at the US Training center in San Diego. The thing that turned me off on her is she is from like New Jersey or somewhere and talks a little East Coast. Just my personal problem. Those accents just don't do much for me.

That's not bad at all. If she can shave 2-3 minutes off that, she should be able to mix it up with the best the marathon has to offer. Of course, that seems to leave her right about the same competitive range she is currently in the 10k and XC.
I've never heard Crain speak, but I seem to recall hearing she went to a midwest school, possibly Great Lakes area. Anyone know for sure?

For some reason I think Crane is from Wisconsin or there a bouts .. But I can't say that with total certanty ..
Drossin is right there .. And she has a good attitude from I have seen and that is a big thing when you want to be world class ... Unless you are just naturally there ... |

Get me on a plane to Vegas cause I am feeling the US Women at New York....
Deena "the babe" Drossin enjoys herself to debut in the marathon with a 2:26 to become the 4th best American Woman Performer, the fastest American Woman ever at New York and runs the fastest time for an American since 1991. Yeah, baby.
Glusac runs well for her debut to finish 2nd in 2:34
De Reuck shows she still got a little something for third in 2:35
Props to Drossin and De Reuck for going out with the leaders the first half and special props to Drossin who hung in tough the second half and was one of the few American, male or female, not to do big positive splits

Hey Leechboy,
Good to hear from you again. Nice predictions! Drossin netted herself several thousand dollars extra for dipping under 2:26. Not bad for two seconds' work.
