Hi

I'm a 'slow' runner! doing a half marathon at the end of September, followed by sitting on a plane six hours later for 3 hours going on holiday! Now there's an incentive to finish! Anyway, do you think it's ok to run this distance then sit on a plane? There's been a lot of scare stories in the UK about blood clots and circulatory problems during flying and I wondered whether all the activity in the morning of the flight will mean anything untoward biologically at high altitude? I'm probably just worrying unneccesarily but I do tend to get 'restless legs' as I call them after I've run for quite a way.

Thanks
Firenze

Wow, I'm not sure what will be tougher, the running or flying! Smile I don't think you have anything to worry about. Lots of people fly to and from races on tight turnaround schedules. Just make sure you do a good job of warming down after the race and stretch the legs out as thoroughly as possible, and you should be fine.
