Other than Induerr's recent post and a little activity on the sprinters forum it sure has been quite around here.
Where is everybody? Dan? Paul? Conway? Tim? AM Runner?
Anyone training? Anyone racing? Anyone read a good book lately? _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

I'm around and checking in regularly, but haven't had much to say, so just keeping an eye on things.

I watched a couple basketball games, did a bit of work work, cleaned the bathroom, and chatted with both my mom and grandma (both out of the country, but in different countries) in the same day... I think I'll cap the evening off with a movie.

I just got the "Five Thousand Meters" movie about a week ago. I liked it. It's interesting.
I'm getting ready for the outdoor track season with my first race on May 14 give or take a few days, and we're doing a 2 week training camp in San Diego that I'm really looking forward to. I'm also planning to do the sun run in about 3 weeks time. It's a massive 10k road race that you may have heard about, last year was 49,000 people I believe. I also ran a few indoor races and lowered my 3k PR from 9:04 to 8:43.
Right now I'm visiting home over the Easter weekend. Good times. |

Alright....more going on than it seemed.
Induerr, is that a NJ or Idaho high school team?
Graeme, that new 3K pr is impressive!! What will you be running in the outdoor season?
Did you guys check out Fatdaddy's photo?
There is a segment on 60 minutes tonight on the Badwater ultramarathon. It is 135 miles in Death Valley. I hope they do a good job and not just make everyone look like a freak for running it. _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

2 week training camp in San Diego? Now I know how you settled on UVic...
I love those Badwater stories about having to run on the white lines so your shoes don't melt on the asphalt.

I'm planning to focus on the 1500 this year. I just went for a good 3k time during the indoor season since that's not really the priority, and in my preparations to run the 1500 outdoor, I was more ready to do the 3000 that early in the season. I'm really happy with where my strength is at right now, it's just a matter of getting that speed in before July.
UVic does a training camp at the beginning and end of every summer, usually the one in April is somewhere good (last year was Phoenix), but the one in August is muchg more boring... like camping on an island 1.5 hours away from the university for example. I'm pushing for a training camp in Europe before I graduate.
And yes, I did see the photo |

Dan, are you helping out at the Track Meet this weekend? I'll probably go for the distance races on Friday, if it isn't raining. May go Saturday too, if I don't have much work to do. _________________ November 9th... |

I'm not coaching at Willamette anymore, so I won't be working the meet. I haven't decided yet if I'll attend... Probably dependent on the weather (and something I may have going on in Portland), which looks anything but promising.

Yeah sorry all I have been AWOL - started yet another new Job and its been crazy so I have not been on much at all
Lets see ran two 1/2 marathons one i noted the second I did not yet - rough week came down with a stomach bug that week and it felt like someone was punching me in the stomach every few minutes ran the race anyway because it was a team scoring race and after sitting on the toilet for 40 minutes and running the majority of the race into a head wind I still came within 1 minute of my PR running 1:31 so I was pleased The girl I have been coaching also set a PR in that race so things are looking good for her
The next day I went on a group run I heard about down in Philly - Tim Broe, Bob Kennedy, and Todd Williams were there I only really got to chat with Todd for a while but it was very cool
Last week got to have a good chat with Chris Lear at a book signing here in Princeton - very good guy had a lot to say about Lydiard, Wetmore, Warhurst, and just genereal things
Add to that my wife and I are expecting our second child in about a month so that had me pretty busy lately...
