Hello everyone,

I have a question, i hope someone can help me with. Does anyone know a performance predictor, to predict a 1500m time out of a 800m personal Best. My PB at 800m is 2.11.76.
Do you have to change your training dramatically if you want to switch to the 1500m, when you're used at 800m-training (for instance; 4*400, 8*200, 3*500, with 3-5 minutes recovery)?

You're probably looking at a 4:35 to 4:40 1500m, although the transition depends a lot on the individual's speed/endurance makeup. The difference in training would basically be to double the quantity of those intervals, reduce the speed, and reduce the recovery to the same as, or half of, the distance you just ran.

I run a 2:10 800 and my 1600 time is 4:52. So that is about a 4:35 1500.
