I am in high school, and i'm starting to train for track season. I was alright at cross country, but I really want to get better for track season. I don't know what distance event I will be running yetprobabally 800 or 1600) but how important is the right training for all of them. I do enjoy running, but I don't know how to improve. I am motivated, and determined to get better, if i knew what to do. please help me if you can!

OK. First a few basic questions.

How much are you currently running? How much have you run in the past? Have you run track before? What are your goals for track? Do you have a coach? If so what training are they going to have you do?

This info will make it a lot easier to figure out what you should be doing.
