Laurence (Lon) Myers was born Feb 16 1858 in Richmond Virg, he died in 1899.

He held World records in the 400 and the 800. He was the first runner in history to break 50.0.

Hahaha..that was cool! No it was Eulace Peacock from Temple. In 1935 Peacock won three out of five races with Owens and had ran faster times.
In 36 he would injure his right thigh at the Penn Relays ...

Great Dan. I always like to tell the story about the dude who was our fastest sprinter in 36. But due to an injury was unable to compete in Berlin.

A lot of these boards have a preference. Some are more into distance running some sprints etc etc.
